You can put donations in the offering plate in the sanctuary.

Put one of the following words after the amount to give to a specific fund.

EXAMPLE Text 844-945-0907 with the message "25 RESETTLE" to give to First Baptist's refugee resettlement ministry.​

FBC Initiatives
  • FUTURE OF FIRST FUND - Supports the implementation of our church's new strategic plan.
  • FUNDRAISER - Current fundraiser, like one of our plant or tag sales or a supper.
  • GIVE - Default General Fund of First Baptist Church in New Haven.  If you leave out a specific fund and just text an amount, this is the fund your gift will go to by default.
  • PLEDGE - To give toward the amount you can pledge for the year.  Contact Peter Young for more information.

  • AFRICA - For our various mission projects in Africa (i.e. Penuel Church and Food & Education for Orphans in Congo/Malawi) under the direction of Pastor Joshua Ruzibuka.

ASSIST or #ASSIST - Sends instructions to you via  text.
  • Response:   To  donate  via text,  send  the  dollar  amount  you  wish to  give,  including  a  dollar  sign.   For example:  $10.  Text #edit  to  update  your  profile  or  #halt  to  permanently  disable  text giving. 

EDIT or #EDIT -  Allows you to edit your name, payment method, address, phone & email.  Once the edit keyword is sent, you will receive a link to take you to your profile.
  • Response:  To manage your profile, go to (link). 

HALT or #HALT -  Allows you to permanently disable Give by Text.  At this time, you cannot re-enroll once you've opted out.
  • Response:  Text to Give to First Baptist Church for this phone has been permanently disabled 

REFUND or #REFUND - Use this to refund or cancel a donation you've submitted, and you will be directed to call the right person with the church.
  • Response:  To request a refund of your donation, please call (Name) at (Church Phone  #) 

FUND or #FUNDS - You can send this message to receive a list of the church's specific funds and ministries to which you can Give by Text.
  • Response:  A list of all the fund words you can put after the gift amount to go to specific ministry fund.
